C-19 and fishing update

The lower Delaware river has been on fire since March, the fish have largely stayed south. The herring have not moved in mass as of today. The water temperature has peaked at 51.8 degrees and has consistently stayed in the upper 40’s. Though February was warm March and April have been relatively cold, the nights are the main driver. Since March we have had 3 60 degree nights and only 15 nights in the mid 50’s. Recently we had three nights with freeze warnings.

Bottom line their is more fishing ahead of us than behind us.

If we are to open and run, there are plenty of fish to be caught. We will have to comply with all NJ and PA fishing regulations as always that means saltwater registry, fishing license (PA or NJ). More importantly comply with state covid -19 rules, I heard of $10,000 fines for business. Not sure if that’s legit but for me it’s not worth it.

We went out and bought a new boat. 20 foot G3 CCJ, check out Facebook for pictures.
