Smallmouth on the Delaware River

The smallmouth fishing has been pretty spectacular the last few day as well as the  Smaller stripers. We have been catching a lot of smallmouth and a handful of stripers during the early mornings and later in to the evenings. Last few days we caught over 90 smallmouth bass and a good amount of 4-7 lbs stripers with some larger stripers falling to bait, weigh up to 15 lbs. 

From here on out the due to the extreme heat and low water we will be focusing on smallmouth bass but still catching stripers. We will be using light tackle for both species so catching an 8 pound striper on a smallmouth rod is defiantly in the cards. We also have been focusing on getting some fly fishermen in to the fish of there lives and or there first experience catching stripers and smallmouth on their own fly tackle.
