Winter Striper Fishing In Ocean City Maryland
Post date: Jan 14, 2015 7:12:22 PM
Winter time Striper fishing out of Ocean city Maryland has been absolutely crazy, We have been primarily trolling until we find the birds or a jag of fish, which we then switch to casting and jigging. There are no typical days striper fishing during the migration seasons but there are some fantastic days where we catch 30-45 pounds fish until your arms fall off. Wither we are trolling and hooking up 8 fish at a time or we are cast poppers in the birds its always a great time. We have had over 25 days with more then 15 fish and over 14 days with complete and utter chaos landing well over 25 five fish and even reaching numbers in the 40's. Depending on the school of fish we encounter they can be all 15-20 pounds or they could be 30 pound plus class. The bite starts in November and and continues well into February.
This year I will be running trips out of Ocean City Maryland Part time during the summer and and full time in the fall. Summer time we will be focusing on sharks, tunas, bluefish, and bottom fishing. The boat is a 27 foot Grady White Express built to handle rough seas.
